Dear Grace Hopper STEAM Academy Families, Students, and Community,

It is with great excitement and gratitude that I introduce myself as the new Principal of Grace Hopper STEAM Academy. I am truly honored to have the opportunity to serve this incredible school community and continue the important work of providing our students with a safe, engaging, and innovative learning environment.

I have proudly been part of the Grace Hopper family since 2019. During my time here, I have had the privilege of serving as a science teacher, Science Department Chair, Project Lead the Way (PLTW) coordinator, Teacher Leader, Assistant Principal, and most recently, both Assistant Principal and middle school science teacher. These experiences have allowed me to build meaningful relationships with our students, staff, and families, and they have strengthened my commitment to our school's mission.

As an educator, I believe that every student has unlimited potential. My goal is to create a school culture where students feel safe, supported, challenged, and inspired to become critical thinkers, problem-solvers, and compassionate leaders. I am committed to working alongside our dedicated teachers, staff, and families to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

A little about me outside of school—I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring new technology, and finding creative ways to solve problems. I also enjoy science, engineering, and hands-on projects, and I believe learning is most meaningful when students are curious, ask questions, and connect what they learn to the real world. These interests continue to remind me that learning doesn't stop when we leave the classroom.

As we begin this new school year together, I encourage every student to embrace new opportunities, challenge themselves, and never be afraid to make mistakes—because that is where growth happens. At Grace Hopper STEAM Academy, we want our students to dream big, think creatively, and believe in their ability to make a positive impact on the world.

I am excited for the year ahead and look forward to partnering with each of you. Together, we will continue building a school community where every student feels valued, empowered, and prepared for future success.
